Hello everyone! This "blog" is going to be dedicated to my commentary on current events. I have a variety of unique stances on the issues, and hopefully you, the readers, will find my opinions interesting. I am going to start with Illegal Immigration. I know I'm a bit late with this, but bear with me. I am whole-heartedly against the flooding of our Nation with Illegal Immigrants. This stance is not based on race, and bringing up race at all in a debate about Illegals is missing the point entirely.

We have, in America, a great number of economic problems and issues, one of which is the rising unemployment-rate, over 5.1% in 2005. Now, doesn't it seem a peculiar idea to, when a market has a rising unemployment-rate, flood said market with... cheap labour? How does that make sense? We have anywhere between 11 and 20 Million Illegals as of now, and that number is rapidly rising. That is not going to help the unemployment-rate. It is a simple fact that if there is a surplus of labour you don't need more labour.

Another problem is that the Illegals that come here very often refuse to integrate, demanding that we teach in Spanish, demanding we put Spanish alongside English on various signs as if it were our second official language (like Canada and French), demanding we grant their own culture special status and over-all behaving in a rude manner. (Left: Latin-American Students raise the Mexican Flag over their School in protest against a lack of Amnesty)

Then there is the strain they put on our Government Services, claiming Welfare, Schools and other Government aid, without contributing in Income tax (Although they pay Sales Tax, as so many Pro-Illegal activists gleefully point out). I'm not in favour of Income Tax anyway, but if hard-working Middle-Class Americans have to pay, so should everyone else who lives in this country, not least of all because said Middle-Class Americans reap the least benefits from the services they pay so much for.

Then there's the fact that they did break the law in order to come into this country, and that our open borders and the prevalence of Border-Hopping allows for Criminals to thrive, smuggling Illegals and knock-offs in, along with God knows what all else.

Which brings me to the next point, the various South and Central American gangs that flood into the country with the Illegals and that recruit from amongst the ranks of said Illegals. For example, the organized crime group referred to by the Economist1 as "...The largest Criminal Network in the Americas." This group consists of two rival Maras or gangs, classified together by officials because their methods and goals are identical, the Mara 18 and Mara Salvatrucha, who consist of "25,000 members in El Salvador, and comparable numbers in Honduras, Guatemala and the U.S." again, according to the Economist. Roughly 70% of their U.S. membership consist of Latino Illegals.

"In the U.S. authorities believe members are responsible for much of the smuggling of people and goods accross the U.S-Mexico border". They are also responsible for a great deal of extortion and drug-dealing, both north and south of the border, and for 20-50% of all violent crimes in the three South American countries listed above. They ruthlessly take advantage of those they smuggle into the U.S., forcing them into sweat-shops to pay off the debt incurred by their trip into the country in the same way as the various Asian gansters do for those they smuggle in.

Needless to say, this is an issue of border-security.

Another very important, and no doubt offensive, issue, is that in their own countries these people have allowed dictators and repressive Governments and Regimes to rise to power, and it is very likely, when this fact is put alongside their lack of will to integrate, that at best they will vote not for who is right, but for who panders to them the most (As many, many minority-groups do), and at worst that they will be inclined to throw their support en masse behind a party which endorses radical totalitarian changes to our society.

The reason to point out these issues is because now the Illegals are demanding amnesty. Hundreds of thousands of them marching in the larger cities throughout the South-West. There are those who say "Well we can't very well throw out 12 Million people, can we?" To which I must respond by pointing out that in the 1980s ('86 or '84, I believe) we granted all Illegals amnesty, only back then there were about 2 Million Illegals. The fact that the number has jumped to 12 Million+ is indicative of how well Congress' last quick-fix worked. (Left: Pro-Illegal Immigrant rally in Chicago, Illinois, March 10th '06)

The problems that the Illegals cause today are less the issue than the problems that encouraging more to come will cause. Huge Economic, Social, Governmental and Global problems will be caused if we grant those here amnesty and then proceed to do nothing about the border.

I should mention now that this is not an issue of the Illegals' race; if Canada were an over-populated Third-World country and Millions of White Canadians were pouring into our nation, wrecking the economy by flooding a Market already strained with rising unemployment rates with more cheap labour, using our Social Services without contributing, demanding that we use French as a second language, and living in Canadian Ghettoes, refusing to integrate, I would be against them too.

Unfortunately, both political parties in America today seem extremely reluctant to give up the votes this new demographic represents by actually doing their jobs. Only five Democratic Senators voted in favour of a new anti-Immigration bill, which illustrates how much that party as a whole is concerned, and a great deal of Republicans, particularly those outside of the States worst affected by this problem, are either reluctant to commit one way or the other, or even worse are standing by the President's corporate-sponsored decision that Illegal Immigration is good.

There are more right-minded Republicans on this issue than Democrats, undenyably, but both parties' lackluster response to these outrageous protests have left me thoroughly disgusted, particularly Arizona Governoress Janet Napolitano's decision to shoot down a tough anti-Illegals bill, after declaring a State of Emergency over Illegal Immigration last year. Ironically, this seems to be an ailment Republicans suffer from frequently, that of flip-flopping on issues and lying to get elected. Like for example Governor Sonny Perdue of Georgia who was elected due to his alleged position on a certain Flag, a position he reversed drastically within minutes of assuming office.

Following are some rather inflamatory quotes and photos I've located:

(Chanting) "La Raza, La Raza, La Raza!!!!...... (Cheers) When we read of the story of Paul Revere who [rode] and warned and said that, "The British are Coming!!! The British are coming!!!" I say to you now The Latinos are coming!!! The Latinos are coming!!! (Cheers) We need to continue to increase our numbers. We can not go back, WE ARE IN A CIVIL WAR!!!"

-California Congressman Joe Baca (D-Rialto), addressing a "La Raza" rally

"We are millions!! We have an ageing White America. They are not making babies. They are dying, it's just a matter of timeā€¦. We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is if the worst comes to the worst, we have got to kill him."
